LADURÉE DEBUTS NEW LOOK

Dubai Mall has always been a popular place for all things, and LADURÉE fits right in here. The concept is simple –everything served is made fresh daily and without additives, chemicals.

Inside Fashion Avenue in Dubai Mall sits LADURÉE, an open-plan café that leans heavily on plush furniture and snappy waiter uniforms to enforce its ‘we’re so fashion’ message. Although one would be inclined to assume a venue like this is rather pretentious, the food on offer and the level of service begs to differ

Last night, Ladurée, the French tearoom and patisserie, revealed its new decor and menu at its original Dubai Mall branch, which is soon to mark its 9th birthday. Coinciding with a visit from global president David Holder, Ladurée hosted a special event with media and bloggers to showcase its modern new décor and locally-inspired savoury menu.

Hoping to bring Ladurée to a new generation whilst also staying true to the brands values,
the aim of the refurbishment was to transform the branch to offer customers a unique
culinary experience that is like stepping into a modern Parisian tearoom. All the interior
design was uplifted using its famous pastel shades of green and pink to bring a warm yet
refined ambiance.

To appeal to tourists and residents alike, Chef Romain has created a new breakfast and salad
menu especially for the Dubai tearoom. Chef Romain also added new dishes based on
customer feedback while incorporating the most recent trends to create a diverse new menu
that features dishes from around the world, including Salmon Benedictine Eggs and a Salmon
Poke Bowl.

Commenting, David Holder, said, “At Ladurée, we are exceptionally proud of the success our
original Dubai Mall branch has achieved in the last nine years. Our customers are always
seeking something different and so we wanted to totally refresh this branch to offer a new
and authentic Ladurée experience. This country has a special place in our hearts as we now
have six branches in the UAE, having opened four in the last two years and we are always
looking to expand into new locations.”

In the UAE, Ladurée is operated by French Spirit Coffee Shop llc which is owned by Vital
Investment llc.

Originally opened in 1862 as a French pastry shop, the story of Ladurée is steeped in culinary history, as it was Louis Ernest Ladurée’s wife, Jeanne Souchard, who later had the idea of mixing the styles of the Parisian café and pastry shop to create the first tearoom in the city. In this conservative time, the “salon de thé” had a definite advantage over all the cafés: women could gather and dine in complete freedom.

Bringing the exquisite world of macarons to the Middle East, Ladurée, the French luxury tearoom and patisserie, opened in the Fashion Avenue Dubai Mall in 2010. Since then it has opened five more branches around the UAE, including The Beach JBR (2015), Mall of Emirates (2017) Yas Mall (2017), Abu Dhabi Mall (2018) and a second outlet in Dubai Mall’s new extension (2018).

Today, with a refined menu serving delectable savoury and sweet dishes in addition to its fine pastries and world-famous macarons, each Ladurée has evolved to become a popular destination. Ladurée is a chosen spot for residents and tourists looking for the perfect balance of visual and gustatory pleasure. Each branch also includes a delicatessen, featuring gourmet gifts, hampers, fragrances, special trinkets and candles for customers to take home.
