Celebrate Ferragosto the Italian Way with Bocca 

The Italian fine-dining restaurant at Hilton Abu Dhabi invites all to celebrate the Italian holiday with its special menu.


 Hilton Abu Dhabi gives foodies in the capital the chance to experience Ferragosto celebrations with a menu full of traditional favourites.
There are some dishes Italians do not miss during this holiday, and chef de cuisine Leonardo Passone wants residents and tourists in Abu Dhabi to sample these special dishes in the way it would be prepared in an Italian home.
Available from August 15 to 18, the menu kicks off with the customary starter, antipasto di Ferragosto, which features a sharing platter of truffle bruschettas, marinated beef carpaccio with rocket and parmesan, potato frittatas and deep-fried calamari.
For mains, there is an excellent option for the gnocchi fanatic. On this menu, the humble potato dumpling is served in a beetroot puree with a shrimp and calamari sauce.
Those looking for a healthier option can opt for the grilled baby chicken served with sautéed fregola Sarda and vegetable caponata, all topped with a lemon-based sauce.
The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the ‘anguriamisu’. This dessert is a fun take on the signature tiramisu and features unusual ingredients like watermelon puree and mint in addition to the more predictable mascarpone cheese.
With friendly staff on hand to help you choose a wine to match, this Italian restaurant is a top spot for fine dining in the capital. Bocca is open for lunch (Sunday to Thursday) and dinner (daily).
