Taking place on Thursday, February 8th, diners can indulge in an artfully prepared 4-course tasting menu, complemented by a selection of Brancott Escape grape varieties, for AED395 per person Demon Duck by Alvin Leung, at Banyan Tree Dubai, is delighted to host a grape tasting event in collaboration with Brancott Estate, one of New Zealand's premier grape producers. Taking place on Thursday, February 8th, guests can look forward to a 4-course tasting menu alongside a selection of Brancott Estate’s premium grape varieties, a fusion of New Zealand's finest grape paired with Demon Duck's avant-garde Asian cuisine. Welcoming guests from 7:00 pm, the tasting will then commence at 7:30 pm. Brancott Estate’s visiting grape maker, Jamie Marfell, will lead this dinner, showcasing the iconic Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir that have put New Zealand on the global map for all connoisseurs. The menu, priced at AED395 per person, includes welcome drinks, four specially selected Brancott Estate grape varieties, and an array of signature dishes. Offering a symphony of flavours, carefully curated by Demon Duck's culinary maestros, the evening will begin with a bite-size selection of dim sum, including Chicken and Black Truffle, earthy Porcini Mushroom, and succulent Shrimp Gao. The starter course has innovative creations such as Shrimp Toast with salted lemon mayonnaise, Crispy Duck paired with Alvin's special hummus, and a refreshing Scallop Ceviche with edamame and sichuan green pepper. The main course steals the spotlight with the Slow-Roasted Demon Duck, aged for 14 days and served with calamansi buns and hoisin sauce, accompanied by the Demon Fried Rice with mushroom XO, porcini, and olive leaf. Conclude this culinary journey on a sweet note with desserts like Whipped Coconut with aromatic pineapple and the Rose Bubble Bath featuring lychee and rose ice cream. Complementing this experience is Brancott Estate's exceptional grape selection. Savour the renowned Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc, a classic representation of New Zealand's iconic white grape, alongside the acclaimed Brancott Estate Pinot Noir, showcasing their mastery in red varietals. Additionally, indulge in the exclusive Brancott 'Letters Series B' Sauvignon Blanc and 'Letters Series T' Pinot Noir, each offering a unique and sophisticated expression with indulgent notes on the palate. Combining the delightful food with equally as impressive grape selections, diners will be taken on a sensorial journey through the vineyards of New Zealand, embracing the perfect fusion of flavours from both hemispheres.
